We are looking for confident, outgoing people who are interested in learning more about wine and sharing that knowledge with others. An interest in, enjoyment of and enthusiasm about wine certainly helps, as does a drive and motivation to succeed. You need not be a wine expert to become a Kamapi wine guide, as we will provide you with all of the information and training that you need to succeed.
Absolutely. We’ll provide you with all the training you need before you start and all the support you need afterwards.
No matter what your knowledge of wine, what’s important to us is your passion and personality. We will teach you everything else you need to know!
At Kampai you work individually, but you’re never alone. Our website has a secure zone especially for you. This contains all of the information that you will need to run your tastings – forms, wine tasting notes, recipes and heaps of hints and tips.
The website also has a dedicated Wine Guide forum which lets you chat with other Wine Guides – share your secrets, get advice and make new friends.
When you join you’ll receive comprehensive training. We also run regular refresher sessions and tasting events especially for our Wine Guides. And if you ever need to talk, we are always only a phone call away.

You will purchase a starter kit on commencement which will contain a range of valuable materials to get you started in your business. To comply with liquor licensing laws, we will also ask you to complete a short Responsible Service of Alcohol course, which we can arrange for you.
Once you have completed your training you will be ready to start hosting wine tasting events. We’ll work with you on the first couple to make sure you are comfortable, after which the world is your oyster (or champagne, as the case may be…)
This is largely up to you! The more tastings you run and customers you refer, the greater your potential to earn.

Wine tasting events run for up to two hours. Including preparation and coordination, it is likely that you will spend 3 hours in total for each event.
To make life easy, a lot of the work has been done for you. We’ve automated the invitation process, and all orders are processed and shipped directly by Kampai.
Kampai resembles a party plan model in that we give you the opportunity to own and manage your own business, work the hours that you choose to, and be rewarded for it.
However, unlike many other party plan businesses, we offer extensive support and guidance, allowing you to focus on creating great wine experiences for your customers.
For example, we’ll do a lot of marketing on your behalf, process orders and look after all shipping. We offer support in building your business, for example by assisting you to access public liability insurance.
All in all, we offer you the earning potential of the party plan model whilst minimising the risk and investment required of you.
